My previous post more than suggested that Carlos Tevez of Manchester City would remain their player for the 2011/ 12 season , I said this due to the £50 million inflated price tag and the small amount of clubs who could afford this . The club he is joining for a reputed £40 million are Brazilian giants Corinthians of Sao Paulo, who currently lie top of the Brasileirao football league after 10 games undefeated .
There are still the inevitable financial stumbling blocks to overcome and no deal has been signed just yet but what does seem clear is that Carlos Tevez has played his last game in England .
Player power has for a long time in football been in control over their clubs and the Tevez v Man City affair is another example of a player getting his way .
New Chelsea manager Villas Boas will have a job on his hands to keep the senior players on side.
It is widely known that if he loses or fails to gain the respect of club captain John Terry or experienced players such as Frank Lampard then he will find it very difficult to do things his way.
Cesc Fabregas of Arsenal and Luka Modric of Tottenham Hotspur have both stated their intent to move to pastures new and it is highly likely that both players will get their respective transfers sooner rather than later , despite still having years to run on their contracts .
No club it seems will stand up to these demands and will grant the wish of a move to avoid having an unhappy player becoming a bad influence on the rest of the squad . It would be refreshing to see a club stand firm and reject all offers and implore that no move will be accepted . This is extremely difficult to ever see happen .
